TODOS SANTOS FILM FESTIVAL– FESTIVAL DE CINE



The 9th edition of the Todos Santos film festival is about to begin at the Teatro Marquez de León. The festival will take place both in Todos Santos from February 23rd through the 27th and in La Paz from February 28th through March 3rd.

The most talented and innovative Latin American independent movie makers will share their work in the intimate setting of the beautiful Teatro Marquez de León in Todos Santos. Over 20 movies, documentaries and shorts from Mexico, Spain Cuba, Chile and Argentina will be screened during the 5 days of the festival. As a great addition to these movies, over 70 young students from Todos Santos and Pescadero who participated in the ‘Youth in Video’ workshops, will present their documentary ”7 Voices, 7 Questions, 7 Days” on the opening day of the festival. To raise funds for the next ‘Youth in Video’ program everyone is invited to attend the event “Hollywood in Todos Santos” at Hotel California on Sunday February 26th. The Academy Awards will be shown on four large screens, in addition to music and appetizers,the entertainment for the evening includes a prize for the best Hollywood themed costume, a Predict the Oscar Winners game and a 50/50 raffle.

Join this vibrant group of artists at this great festival that supports youth education through film and supports women and local filmmakers, without using stereotypes and violence as entertainment.

Yet again this morning there’s a wind line on the horizon to the north as the El Norte winds begin to fill in for the sixth day in a row for the the last day of the Lord Of The Wind here in Los Barrilles. Yesterday saw Kevin Pritchard stomp the kiters in the winner take all Lord Of The Wind windsurfer v. kiter race taking home $3,500 for his effort. The Shadowbox crew finished the Kite Big Air heat with the highest jump 34.6 feet. Complete event results to come. A big shout out to the event organizers Dan and Chris! This is their inaugural event and its been one of the best events that the EpicSessions.tv crew has been involved in. Its not easy to pull off video streaming on the beach here in Mexico but with the dedicated crew working with us for our connection, power, and literally anything else that we needed, we made it work with minimal issues.
